Run and Walk With Pride is an annual community event open to all, presented by Seattle Frontrunners, an LGBT running club, aimed to give visibility to the club and the incredible diversity of our members.

Since its beginning in 1983 the mission of RWWP has been to provide an event in which gay athletes could compete, while also serving as a fundraiser for local LGBT non-profit organizations. Over the past thirty-four years RWWP has raised and donated over 100K to different organizations doing spectacular work in WA.

It Takes Just One is especially poignant this week as the 121st running of the Boston Marathon was held on Monday. I ran the 2013 Boston Marathon finishing 20 minutes before the two bombs went off at the Finish Line. My friend Bettie was merely 2 minutes over the Finish Line and my friend Te was down the block and was not allowed to finish. While my friends were safe, three people were killed and hundreds were injured. The lessons being taught by the It Takes Just One campaign may have changed history and will hopefully do so in the future. Let's spread the word. Please go to www.facebook.com/JustOneUMD/ and:
(1) "Like" the page
(2) Take a picture of yourself with one finger held up and post it on the page
(3) If you can, write a quote or a story about how you changed history for the better one person at a time.
(4) Please share your posting on your Timeline and with your friends and groups and ask them to follow these instructions and spread the word.
Remember, most of the human race is good, wants peace and well-being, and it is just a small number of people who are evil and give all of humanity a bad name. All of us in the majority CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

Hey everyone! Help Brittni and her classmates spread the word. Please "like" their page - www.facebook.com/JustOneUMD/ - and add a photo of your finger saying "1". Write something also. Especially the runners - I've always been convinced that the running community can lead the way to world peace. Because we all get along - don't we! And post on your timeline and share with your friends.

"It Takes Just One" runner interacting with just one other runner to help spread the word. Conversation is critical -- one Palestinian runner speaking to one Israeli runner, one female runner speaking with one male runner, yes even one Republican runner speaking with one Democratic runner -- will make a difference. Don't just be a bystander - be involved! RUNNERS, HELP MAKE THE WORLD A BETTER, SAFER PLACE. LEAD THE WAY - WIN THE RACE!!!

#flashbackfriday to making my first World Championship track team in 2007. In this moment, I thought my career could never be better. I had no idea two months later I would win the bronze medal at the World Champs. Take a moment to feel your victories in life. You have earned them. Happy Friday!!
